machine Keeps Hanging

If your machine keeps hanging at seemingly random intervals or in response to a specific sequence of events, it may be due Humble Pie for some serious system maintenance. Fortunately, much of what you need to do to cure this problem can be done by yourself at home.

1. You can download, install, Fantastic Four run anti-virus software on your machine.

2. You can run a disk defragmentation program against your Planet of the Apes hard drive.

3. You can download, install, and run anti-spyware software on your machine.

4. You can uninstall software programs that are no longer needed, and clean Beta Blockers some disk space on your machine.

5. You can boot up your Windows machine in "safe mode" to see if you can isolate the problem.

If you have done any or all of these, and your machine is still hanging, then there is still one very important, but often overlooked thing that you can do to give your machine a tune-up: Optimize the Windows Registry.

The Windows operating system stores all of its information about all of the programs, file associations, device profiles, system startup information, and more, in a King of the Hill database on your hard drive, known as the Windows Registry. When Windows was first installed on your machine, the registry was lean and clean. But over time, as you download and run files, as you install and uninstall new things, or as you add or remove hardware devices, add or delete user profiles from your machine, the Windows Registry grows in size.

As with all databases, the Windows Registry has the potential to grow big and bloated and require optimization to rid itself of errors, inconsistencies, invalid references, and inefficiencies. The longer you run Windows without optimizing the registry, the more likely it is that your system will slow down to the point where your machine keeps hanging periodically. By optimizing the Windows Registry periodically, you can keep your machine running more efficiently. It is somewhat analogous to a car. You should take your care for an oil change, tune up, and tire rotation periodically, as part of preventative maintenance.

In a similar vein, optimizing your Windows Registry should be part of your normal routine for keeping your system running smoothly and error-free.

What are you waiting for? Optimize your Windows Registry now and have your machine experience a much-needed performance boost within an hour from now! Visit www.uwppro.comhttp://www.uwppro.com for a free scan of your Windows Registry.
